Wiron offers disc stack centrifuges with a processing capacity of up to 20,000 L/h. This series of centrifuges supports automatic in-situ cleaning (CIP) and in-situ sterilization (SIP) processes to prevent cross-contamination between different products.
Structural Design
● Drum and Discs: The drum is made of high-strength stainless steel, with good corrosion resistance and pressure resistance. The internal disc stack consists of multiple conical discs. The number of discs is relatively large, with a spacing of usually around 0.5-2mm, and the semi-cone angle of the discs is generally 30°-45°. The discs are usually made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant alloys, and their surfaces are specially treated to have a high degree of smoothness to reduce material adhesion and resistance on the disc surfaces.
● Feed System: Includes feed pipes, feed pumps, and feed distributors. The design of the feed pipes ensures that the material can enter the center of the drum evenly and steadily. The feed pump provides sufficient pressure to transport the material into the drum, and the feed distributor is responsible for evenly distributing the material into the gaps between the discs.
● Drive System: Uses a flange-type motor for horizontal drive, with noise protection design, low noise during operation, and high transmission efficiency of the motor, which can provide stable power to the drum to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
● Discharge Mechanism: Has a self-cleaning function and uses an advanced discharge mechanism to automatically discharge the sediment in the drum without stopping, improving the continuous operation capability and work efficiency of the equipment. For example, a hydraulically driven sliding piston controls the opening and closing of the discharge port at the bottom of the drum to achieve periodic discharge of solid materials.

● High Separation Efficiency: The disc structure increases the separation area, allowing for quick and effective separation of liquids or solid particles of different densities. The separation coefficient is generally 6000-10000, and the smallest separable particle is 0.5μm.

● Food and Beverage Industry: Can be used for clarification and purification of milk, juice, beer, etc., removing impurities, bacteria, and other tiny particles to improve product quality and stability. In the refining process of vegetable oil, it can perform degumming, deacidification, dehydration, and dewaxing operations to improve the quality of vegetable oil.
● Pharmaceutical Industry: Widely used in the purification or clarification of antibiotic and biochemical pharmaceutical agents during the extraction process, as well as the clarification of traditional Chinese medicine agents, ensuring the purity and quality of pharmaceuticals. In biopharmaceuticals, it can be used for the separation of cell culture media, virus concentration, and purification.
Chemical Industry: Used for the purification or clarification of chemical raw materials, such as the separation and purification of some organic solutions and polymer emulsions, improving the quality and performance of chemical products.
